Our Quest to be Successful
At Coriander Farm we believe it is important to succeed gracefully, and always keep our perspective.
A Poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson,
WHAT IS SUCCESS?
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch,
Or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived;
This is to have succeeded.
Excerpts from The Sportsman’s Charter, US Equestrian Federation
That sport is something done for the fun of doing it and that it ceases to be sport when it becomes a business only, something done for what there is in it.
That good manners of sport are fundamentally important.
That the whole structure of sport is not only preserved from the absurdity of undue importance, but is justified by a kind of romance which animates it, and by the positive virtues of courage, patience, good temper, and unselfishness which are demanded by the code.
Coriander Farm Goals
To have a stable full of riders eager to become true horsemen and women, with sportsmanship a top priority.
For us all to feel part of a team, striving to better ourselves and help our teammates.
For us all to value what is truly important; compassion for our animals, kindness to our friends, personal growth and being the best person that we can be.
To be victorious while we are having fun.
